Carving Pumpkins In The Springtime

Can you buy pumpkins in the springtime?

Because if you can, I feel like it would be really funny to buy some and carve them up around Easter and put them on your front porch. I get a kick out of anachronistic stuff.

In this week’s episode of Burning Rock Radio, the town is celebrating Halloween and they’ve paved the main street with a whole bunch of candlelit pumpkins. I’ve never seen a town do this exact thing, but I have seen a restaurant in one of my favorite beach towns that put a couple hundred Jack-o-Lanterns in their outdoor seating area.

Some day I might get a greenhouse just so I can grow pumpkins out of season.
